Request Account Deletion

How to permanently delete your account and application data from the YDF India Scholarship Portal.

This action is permanent. Deleting your account removes your profile and login access. Active or approved scholarship applications on record may be retained for the minimum period required by our grant reporting obligations. See the data table below for details.
Before you proceed: If you only wish to withdraw an application or stop receiving notifications, you do not need to delete your account. Contact us at helpdesk@youthdreamersfoundation.org for those requests.



How to delete your account

1. Sign in to the portal

Open apply.ydfindia.org in a browser or the YDF India app and sign in with the account you wish to delete.

If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page to reset it before proceeding.

2. Go to your Profile

Click your name or profile picture in the top-right corner of the page and select Profile from the menu.

3. Click "Delete my account"

On your Profile page, scroll down to the Privacy and policies section. Click Delete my account.

4. Submit the deletion request

You will see a form titled Create a new data request. The type will already be set to Delete all of my personal data. Optionally add a comment, then click Save changes.

Your request is sent to the site's privacy officer for review. You will see it listed under Data requests with the status Awaiting approval. You can cancel the request from that page if you change your mind.

5. Wait for processing

Once the privacy officer approves your request, your personal data will be deleted. We will process requests within 30 days. You will be notified at your registered email address when the deletion is complete.

What data is deleted тАФ and what is retained

Contact us for a manual deletion request

If the self-service option is unavailable, or you have questions about what data is held about you, write to us. We respond within 5 business days and complete deletions within 30 days.
